How much does a bath remodel actually cost?
It depends on the project (a tub-to-shower conversion, a walk-in shower or a full remodel) and on the finishes you pick. That's why the estimate happens at your home: your installer measures the room and brings real pricing for your specific project.
How fast can it actually be done?
It depends on the system and the room. Acrylic wall systems go in faster than a full tile remodel, because tile has to set and grout has to cure. Your installer gives you the schedule for your project at the in-home estimate.
What about my existing tile, plumbing, and subfloor?
The installer inspects all three at the in-home estimate before quoting. Most homes built after 1985 have plumbing that meets current code and subfloor in good shape. Older homes occasionally need plumbing or subfloor work, which the installer documents in the quote so there are no surprises on install day.
I'm not the homeowner. Can I still get a quote?
Our installer network works directly with property owners on the install contract, so we're only able to send requests from homeowners. If you're a renter planning a future home purchase, the project guides on Hearthworth are free to read in the meantime.
What does the in-home estimate actually involve?
About 45 minutes. The installer measures the space, walks through your bath options (full remodel vs. tub-to-shower vs. safety-bath variants), brings sample tile and fixture finishes, and prices the project. You leave with a written quote and no obligation to decide on the spot. Standard 3-day right-of-rescission applies if you do sign.
Will my installer do the work themselves or sub-contract it?
The local contractor HomeProExperts connects you with handles the estimate and the install contract. Ask at the estimate who will be on site, including any specialty trades for plumbing or electrical work.
What if my state isn't covered yet?
We currently route projects across 47+ states. Coverage gap: FL, OK, and WA. We're working on the licensing and compliance lift for those markets. If your ZIP falls inside the gap, we hold your information and don't forward it until we can serve you.
